Documents required for transportation of mortal remains to India
If Natural Death:
1.
Copy of Medical Report and Death Report from Hospital with English
Translation
2.
Consent Letter/ Power of Attorney (Wakala) paper from the family of
the deceased in India. (To download format, please click here)
The family member should clearly indicate their permission for
burial in Saudi Arabia or for transportation to India. They should
also clearly indicate name & Iqama number of their representative
to complete formalities in Saudi Arabia. The Consent Letter/ Power
of Attorney (Wakala) should be on Stamp Paper and attested by the
Notary Advocate.

Copy of Passport and Iqama of the deceased.
4.
Identity of Representative in Saudi Arabia, authorized by family of
deceased in India.
Note: For Indian nationals / other nationals in Saudi Arabia,
copy of Passport and Iqama.
For Saudi nationals - copy of Saudi ID card
5.
Letter from Sponsor addressed to Consulate General of India undertaking
to settle the legal dues of the deceased e.g. unpaid salary, end of service
benefits as per Labour Laws of Saudi Arabia. (To download format,

6.
Death Intimation Form from the Consulate. (To download format,
please click here).
7.
Copy of Death Certificate from Ahwal Al Madani with English
Translation.
If Unnatural Death:
(Road Accident, Fire, Murder, Suicide, Work related Accident and similar cases)
