H.E.
Shri M.O.H. Farook has a distinguished political career spanning
more than four decades. He served as Chief Minister of
Pondicherry for three terms
and also in various capacities in the Government of India
including as Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation. He was elected to
Lower House of the Indian Parliament (Lok Sabha) for three terms. He was
also the Speaker of Pondichery Legislative Assembly for two terms.
Shri M.O.H. Farook,
a Political and Social Worker by profession, hails form Karikal (Pondicherry) and graduated from
Loyola College, Chennai,
Tamil Nadu. He has made noteworthy contribution for welfare of women and
upliftment of the downtrodden. He has traveled widely all over the world
including Australia, France, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, United States of
America, United Kingdom etc.
