ATTESTATION 

      

This Consulate undertakes attestation of documents like Sponsorship Declarations, Academic Certificates, Degrees and Diplomas, marriage and birth certificates etc. issued in India, as also the power of attorney executed by Indian nationals in Saudi Arabia.  The documents to be attested must be presented in original with a photocopy and signed, where necessary, before the Consular Officer, who will satisfy himself about the identity of the signatory/ executant/deponent on the basis of passport.  The executant’s passport is to be presented for this purpose.

 

       Normally, the service is rendered the same day.

 

      All certificates (or their copies) submitted to the Consulate General of India, Jeddah for attestation should be first got attested in India by the General Administration Department of the State Government, Ministry of Education  and Consular Section or OI Section of Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.

 

Documents required for Attestation :-

 

Sponsorship Declaration

1. Sponsorship Declaration Form in duplicate in Format V

 

2.  Salary Certificate attested by Chamber of Commerce with typed English translation if it is in Arabic.

 

3.     Copy of Passport

 

4.     Copy of Iqama

     5.      Fees : SR 40

Affidavit for obtaining Minor child’s passport in India  

1.     Affidavit 9 in duplicate.

 

2.     Copy of child’s birth certificate from India

 

3.     Copy of Passport of the parent who is executing the affidavit.  In case it is being executed by both parents in respect of child in India, copies of passports of both parents.

 

4.     Copy of Iqama of the parent/parents

     5.      Fees : SR 40

Power of Attorney

1.     The Power of Attorney (POA)(original + copy)

 

2.     Two recent colour passport sized photographs (35mm x 45mm);

 

3.     Photocopy of Passport and Iqama of the person/persons executing the POA  

 

4.     Passport in original;

 

5.     Fees : SR 80/- for attestation of POA relating      to property matters;

      SR 40/- for attestation of other POA.

 

Kindly note that the Executant is / Executants are  required to sign the POA in presence of the Consular Officer.

Attestation of Educational Certificates/ Degrees

1.     Original Certificate + copy

 

2.     Copy of Passport

 

3.     Copy of Iqama

 

4.     Passport in original

      5.     Fees : SR 40 (SR 80 for bilingual copies)

Affidavit for Change of Profession

1.     Affidavit 10 in two copies

 

2.     Copy of Passport

 

3.     Copy of Iqama

 

4.     Relevant skill certificate / Degree / Diploma

 

5.     Letter from sponsor showing present profession;

 

6.     Fees : SR 80

 

Kindly note that the Passport has no column for entry of Profession of the holder.
